Volunteers - NCC Needs You PDF Print E-mail
Volunteers run North Country Conservancy (NCC); they give countless hours to help NCC achieve its mission. They advocate for the preservation of open space, management events, conduct fundraisers, and engage the community in the appreciation of our natural world. They also help shape NCC as it grows, continuously inspiring those who work here.

In the end, NCC's success is a testament to the hundreds of people who give their time, talent, and treasure to ensure its future.

Below you will find opportunities to volunteer. Additionally, NCC welcomes calls and emails with new ideas for volunteers.

Website - Page volunteer PDF Print E-mail
Responsibilities of a Page Volunteer

As a Web page volunteer, you would write or find articles for one page (or more if you wanted) -- not the entire website.  Then the NCC webmasters (Ann Hutchinson and Jim Larson) would work with you to finalize the articles for posting.

Executive Director Wanted PDF Print E-mail

Responsibilities of the Executive Director - Rev. April 29, 2010

NCC's volunteer Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.  While there are general areas of responsibilities, an individual’s work style, expertise, and approach to communications can significantly influence how the job is executed.  The Executive Director has two main functions:

  • Direct and execute all activities of the organization either directly or through delegated authority;
  • Provide leadership in these and other areas: the creation of strategic, tactical, and financial plans; developing goals and measuring performance to the approved goals; organizational development; liaison to the public and other stakeholders; develop volunteers and, if any, staff.
