Black Canyon City Heritage Park
Black Canyon Heritage Park is located along the Aqua Fria River in Black Canyon City, Arizona.  The park will be a sustainable learning and recreation gateway focused on providing a welcoming and accessible interpretive trails, displays, and viewing areas for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. This park is being developed by a coalition of local, state, and federal entities including the Friends of Aqua Fria National Monument, Bureau of Land Management, AZ Game and Fish, National Parks Service, Yavapai County, Black Canyon Historical Society and North Country Conservancy.  See http://www.crowdrise.com/interpretiveplan/fundraiser/daisy to donate.

Pioneer Living History Village
NCC supports this place as a gateway to our community and a treasure to preserving a time when open spaces were common.  Located 30 minutes north of downtown Phoenix, the Pioneer Living History Village has over 90 acres of an old 1800's town, with no cars or smog! Just authentic buildings and historically accurate reproductions. See the Opera House where Lilly Langtry sang; look through a rifle port in the actual cabin that survived Arizona's bloodiest range war; laugh your way through a "melodrama"; or browse through an 1890's dress shop and much more!
